And now that I've gotten that out of the way, I can start. This is basically a blog for me, really. Yes, people can read it, if you are reading it now, then I rest my case, but I honestly just want an outlet into the world. A portal to chuck all of my mad fangirlness into, and let it swirl around in crazy clouds and to just get it out of my head.
So really, this is who I am: I am a fangirl. One of my favourite definitions comes from the Urban Dictionary:
A rabid breed of human female who is obesessed with either a fictional character or an actor. Similar to the breed of fanboy. Fangirls congregate at anime conventions and livejournal. Have been known to glomp, grope, and tackle when encountering said obesessions.
Hugh Jackman: 'ello.
Fangirl: SQUEEEEEE! *immediately attaches to Jackman's leg*
Jackman: Security!

Another definition on the same site says:
A female fan with an obession over anime and video game characters, or over real people like the Orlando Bloom or the guys in simple plan. Some may go as far to create cults, fanlistings, and shrines. Contrary to popular belief, not all fangirls are unatractive. Many, especially those who cosplay, actually look semi-normal or even pretty in normal settings. There are some fat and ugly ones, but not every fangirl is. They also enjoy writing fanfiction or drawing fanart. Anime and video fangirls have a habit of glomping.
I like all sorts of things, which will become apparent as I start to ramble, but I spend most of my time knowing stuff. Yes, I am a knower. If I don't know something, I learn it. I like to share all of my known stuff too, unfortunately for those who watch films and TV with me. And I am an anglophile. Which means I really enjoy listenning to British people speak, watch British people parade around on my telly and looking up British things in my world atlas. I am a missionary kid, which means that I did spend most of my childhood elsewhere in the world, now I live in another country sometimes dubbed as "home" or as I call it, the place my mummy came from. This does affect the way I see the world, and I spend A LOT of time listenning to BBC World News podcasts.
The way I see it, the saying goes, "It's a small world," but in actual fact it is so big! There is so much to see and to explore, and I love being a part of that world. I like to think that I can reach out my hand and help the world in a small way, and we all do this, we can change it. I find it so sad when I hear about all of the bad bad things that go on in the world, and that we are doing nothing to stop it all.
This blog is about my ramblings, and so you asked for it!!!
I read a great book once called "The World's Greatest Blogger" or something, and it was about this kid who started a blog and then people read it, and he got himself into all sorts of trouble and described it on his blog and in the end life turned out fine. In reality, I doubt this blog will ever get read...but I can always dream.
And finally, (this is the part where you read this and never come back) I sometimes listen to Justin Bieber...
HAHA
